One thing that can be said about Brad Hompe, without any sort of exaggeration or irony, it that he hasa wealth of experience in the burgeoning field of corrections. Of course, one reason for that is his very substantial education, which includes his Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice and psychology, which he earned at Winona State University, as well as his Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA), which he earnedfrom the University of WisconsinOshkosh.

Of curse, he has a lot more than an excellent formal university education to inform him, as Brad Hompe has also earned law enforcement certifications from both Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria, Minnesota. If that’s not enough to impress, skeptics should know that Brad he also has a Firefighter I Certification, which he earned from Southwest Technical College in Fennimore, Wisconsin. One thing is certain, of course; when you combine that level of education with the extensive experience he received while working his way through the Wisconsin corrections system for a couple of decades, Brad Hompe is highly qualified as an expert on criminal justice, whether he is in Wisconsin or elsewhere.

For decades, Brad Hompe has worked his way up through the ranks at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WI-DOC). He started off, starting as a corrections officer, sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, unit manager and deputy warden and, eventually, warden. With Wi-DOC, he has served as a prison staff employee, as well a jail inspector, an instructor and trainer and a whole lot more. Brad Hompe has performed nearly every job there is to do in a prison environment for WI-DOC. He currently serves as a Corrections Complaint Examiner and Investigator for WI-DOC, but Brad’s experience with jail and prison operations is extensive, to the point that Brad Hompe is now considered a reliable expert on prison operations.
